Why the EU funded us:
In line with EU policies that the private sector must lead the EU funded Tradefacilitate™ in a project over 18 months to validate the Tradefacilitate™ application could be deployed commercially as an easy to use low cost solution to paperfree trade for cross border and intra EU trade.
EU Validation Process:
Tradefacilitate™ was validated through a series of live paperfree air and sea freight shipments of wine, for both intra-EU and cross-border trade.
EU Project Results:
After 18 months the EU project validated an innovative web-based solution to facilitate the import and export of goods and act as an interface with single-window systems. The EU validated Tradefacilitate™ application offers a service to create and store business and commercial information to generate the trade documentation required by Customs in a format compliant with international standards.
EU project policy on WCO and UNECE:
In line with EU project guidelines the Tradefacilitate™ project was conducted in coherence with international instruments such as the WCO framework of standards – WCO data model and UN/ECE standards and recommendations.
Tradefacilitate™ is fully compliant with open, global standards for electronic trade documentation and is committed to the principles laid out in the WCO and UNECE MoU (2001).
